Chamber Music Sedona Protocols for concert at SPAC Oct. 31, 2021

Our primary concern when presenting a concert during this pandemic is the well-being of our audience, artists, staff and volunteers. Since our concerts are indoor events and seating is not social distance-spaced, for the concert scheduled for October 31st, attendees must show proof of vaccination and wear a mask when entering SPAC or present us with proof of a negative Covid test taken within the past 72 hours. (This protocol is being practiced by many of the Phoenix and Scottsdale venues, MIM and Scottsdale Philharmonic are examples.) No refreshments will be served during intermission. Please note, those preferring social-distance seating must follow these protocols, but are welcome to use the upper balcony.

The CMS Board, staff, volunteers, and artists thank you for your cooperation. Your reward is the pleasure of listening to wonderful live music performed by amazing artists.

About the artists

Recipients of Musical America’s Musicians of the Year award, one of the highest honors granted by the music industry, David Finckel and Wu Han are in high demand year after year among chamber music audiences worldwide, appearing each season at the most prestigious venues and concert series across the United States, Mexico, Canada, the Far East, and Europe to unanimous critical acclaim. The talent, energy, imagination, and dedication they bring to their multifaceted endeavors as concert performers, recording artists, educators, artistic administrators, and cultural entrepreneurs has garnered superlatives from the press, public, and presenters alike.

In addition to their roles as performers, recording artists, and musical educators, they are also admired as cultural entrepreneurs. Their successful label ArtistLed (www.artistled.com) is the first musician-directed and internet-based recording company in the classical music world. Currently in their third term, Finckel and Han have held the longest tenure as Artistic Directors of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS) since Charles Wadsworth, the founding Artistic Director. In this capacity, they have overseen the establishment and design of CMS’s acclaimed CMS Studio and CMS Live labels and have spearheaded several other partnerships and projects. They are also the founding Artistic Directors of Music@Menlo, a chamber music festival and institute in Silicon Valley.
