Brian Bolger, Pat Brunnock, Chien Buggle and Tomas O’Durcain, guitars

Formed in 2001, the Dublin Guitar Quartet is known for its innovative approach and exclusive commitment to the performance of contemporary music. Currently consisting of members Brian Bolger, Pat Brunnock, Tomas O’Durcain and Chien Buggle, the group’s performances feature an exhilarating combination of famous works of the guitar quartet repertoire alongside modern pieces by distinguished composers. As the first professional Irish guitar quartet, the ensemble has performed extensively throughout Ireland and focuses on new Irish works. However, their skill and ability to intrigue audiences has led to several tours and invitations to perform at international venues. The Dublin Guitar Quartet has shared the stage with a diverse array of musicians, ranging from rock bands to the legendary composer Philip Glass, who gave the group a personal complimentary introduction. This groundbreaking quartet is also well-known for its recordings, particularly its debut album Deleted Pieces.
